Comparing three dolls only on their photo or their price is not enough. Two models of the same height can have very different weight, material, skeleton and options. Before buying, it is therefore more useful to compare concrete characteristics than promises like «the most realistic» or «the best on the market».
Height, weight and proportions
A doll of about 155 to 165 cm can easily weigh several tens of kilos. This weight completely changes the daily experience: moving between the bed and the bathroom, storage, dressing and position change.
So look at the height but also the total weight, the circumference of the chest, the hips and the width of the shoulders. A more compact model can be much more practical even if it seems less spectacular in a photo.

TPE or silicone?
TPE is often chosen for the body because it is very supple and gives a soft skin feeling.
Its main disadvantage is maintenance: it is more sensitive to stains, heat and requires careful drying. Some manufacturers also recommend a after-cleaning maintenance powder.
Silicone is generally firmer and more expensive, but allows for a high level of detail and less porous surface. This is why some dolls combine a very detailed silicone head with a softer TPE body.
The skeleton and positions
An articulated skeleton allows you to bend the arms, legs and torso. But not all dolls have the same amplitude or the same reinforced joints.
If you want to use standing positions, check if the model has reinforced feet or a system actually designed to support the load. Don't assume that a standing photo means that the doll can stay like this for a long time without support.
The holes and their maintenance
Some dolls have functional mouths, vaginas and anuses, while others only offer one or two channels.
A removable insert is easier to wash and dry. An integrated channel sometimes offers more visual continuity but requires cleaning the entire doll with a pear or a suitable rinse system.
Face, hair and customization
The head greatly influences the impression of realism. Silicone often allows fine details and can accept certain implanted hair options. TPE heads are more flexible but hair implantation is not offered by all manufacturers.

Don't compare prices only
A higher price can come from silicone, weight, improved skeleton, additional finishes or simply brand positioning. A lower price doesn't automatically mean a bad doll.
Above all, compare what is actually included: head, wig, cleaning accessories, suspension system, removable vagina, possible heating and warranty conditions.
Which doll to choose?
For a first purchase, ask yourself four questions:
- Can I move this weight alone?
- Do I have enough space to store it properly?
- Do I prefer the flexibility of the TPE or the finish of the silicone?
- Am I ready to ensure cleaning and drying after each use?
