Look for progressive depression levels and easy-to-reach control during use. If the model creates a marked vacuum, a function to quickly reduce or release the pressure is preferable to a simple on/off mode.

Suction acts by pressure variations, the vibration transmits a rapid movement to contact and the rotation rotates the sheath or an inner part. Combined models can be interesting if each function remains adjustable separately.

It must create enough contact to produce the low-produced depression by the manufacturer, without causing excessive pain or compression. The diameter and flexibility of the input are therefore important data to compare.

Follow the model manual. If the sleeve is removable, remove it to rinse it and check that no liquid remains in the air ducts or openings. Do not pour water into an engine that is not designed to be flushed.
